Many studies have shown that expressive writing, such as journaling, is beneficial to both mental and physical health, especially when dealing with serious health concerns. In this workshop, we offer the basics of journaling
and how to apply the process of journal writing to the experience of cancer. It has been shown that the power of the pen can result in improved moods, a more positive outlook, strengthened immune system, a decreased need for pain medication, and overall greater physical health. No writing experience or expertise is needed. Please bring something to write with and on.
