Cranial Hair Loss

A compelling question for many cancer patients is What can I expect to happen to my hair as a result of treatments?. Depending on the treatment protocol the patient is receiving, thinning, total hair loss and re-growth can occur at different stages of treatment. The Foundation’s hair presentation provides answers to this question. Patient demonstration show attractive, simple and effective ways to use hair accessories and partial replacement during thinning and custom hair replacements during total hair loss. All hair replacements are designed and fitted by experienced hair replacement practitioners who specialize in working with cancer patients. Follow up individual services are available. Some health maintenance organizations provide coverage for this procedure, and under certain financial guidelines the foundation will provide a cranial hair replacement at no cost.
